New to Dragonwilds? Here's what you can expect:

As a humble adventurer, you've heard the call for heroes to reclaim this newly discovered continent from Dragons, and your journey begins!

You'll explore the untamed and fractured land, ravaged by wild magic and terrifying dragons, build shelters, craft weapons and carve your way through epic questlines and etch your name into the history of this legendary franchise.

You'll chop trees, mine rocks, craft equipment, cook, build and fight to survive in this new, magical landscape of Ashenfall - and every action deepens your mastery. You'll gain experience (or XP) for every action and those will help level you up through Skill Trees with active and passive unlocks, including Skill Spells that totally transform how you play. Summon a spectral axe to chop a line of trees with one magical swing! Summon a typhoon to catch a haul of fish in a single move! Explode ore veins with a snap of your fingers without a single swing of a pickaxe! All of these, and so many more spells, change how you play and survive on this hostile continent.

Pitted against you are countless enemies from across 25 years of the legendary RuneScape universe, from humble Goblins to terrifying Abyssal Demons, from the skittering Kalphites of the desert to the Black Knights of Zamorak, ruthless warriors of old.

You'll traverse across a vast and diverse land: from the mournful ruins of Brynmoor, whose serene peace is often shattered by the roar of dragons, to the Stormtouched Highlands where lightning strikes relentlessly and swiftly. From the realm of Death (Literally, he's sat there waiting to chat to you) called Fellhollow, to the dark and sinister fortress of Dowdun Reach. Finally you'll traverse the Umbral Sands, a corrupted desert with unrelenting heat and a fiery Red Dragon ruling over it. You'll earn the trust of unusual allies and carve your way into the heart of the desert to bring down the final Dragon General, before you can take on the Scorned Wilderness Raid and fight the Dragon Queen herself.

We launched into Early Access in April 2025 and we've built out a truly special adventure with our players' feedback guiding us at every step of the way, and since then we've added a heap of content. We've added Major Updates with unique region expansions as well as the Fishing and Farming skills to give you even more ways to thrive and build out your cozy homestead. It's been an incredible journey so far, and we're excited to see tons of new adventurers dive into RuneScape: Dragonwilds together with friends when it launches on September 15th!
